Outdoor brand specialist Sealskinz have launched their #IAmEndurance campaign – a series of short films that tell the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things out in the landscape.
Their first film is about Sandy Plenty, a mountain biker who at the age of three was diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension in his heart and lungs. A keen sportsman by the age of 11, Sandy was devastated when he was told he would never be able to take part in any competitive sport. But this didn’t put Sandy off and he dedicated his time to mountain biking. A few years later Sandy found out his new passion had helped him so much he no longer needed a transplant. Now at 36 years old Sandy continues to live for mountain biking and competes at a national level.
