The 12 winners of the 2016 Millennium hotels and resorts Through the Lens photography competition have been announced, with Brian McCready awarded first place for his powerful image of Northern Ireland’s Slieve Corragh summit and receives £5,000 worth of camera equipment.

McCready’s stunning image was chosen from more than 3,500 entries which all celebrate the unique beauty of the British landscape. The 12 finalist images (a selection of which you see here) focus on different regions of the UK and range from idyllic countryside vistas to dramatic coastline views.
