The Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society has launched its 13th annual competition and is inviting images that capture the British Isles’ enduring relationship with the sea, including its coasts, harbours and ports as well as fishermen and merchant ships.
The competition is open to photographers of all abilities and the overall winner will receive a £1,000 photographic equipment voucher. The closing date for entries is 18 August.
Last year, Devon-based photography Paul Newman scooped the top prize with his image taken at the coast at Beer.
