Our latest issue’s cover image is by Irish professional landscape photographer and gallery owner Norman McCloskey. Inside the magazine he talks to Nick Smith about his love of the landscapes surrounding his home in Kenmare in County Kerry on Ireland’s south-west coast, and why he measures his creative progress in monographs.
‘How I stay authentic – whether by accident or design – is by working on book projects, which I’ve been doing for the past 15 years,’ says Norman. ‘I work on a book for about three years, bring out the book, and very quickly move on to the next one. Those projects fuel my input into the gallery.’

His latest book is Headlands and is the final instalment in a trilogy that records the area of Ireland he calls home. Featuring a foreword by Scottish photographer Bruce Percy, this hardback collection includes 114 stunning images captured along the coast and inland, from Kinsale to the Beara Peninsula.
We have three copies of Headlands to give away. For your chance to bag one, simply add your details below. Entry is open until midnight on 18 January 2026 and the winners will be chosen at random and notified by 21 January.
