Rock climber Sean Villanueva O’Driscoll is driven by the freedom of the outdoors and the experiences he has on each adventure. If his clothes rip while he’s out on an expedition he repairs them – often with roofing tape.
For him each patch tells a story, it gives him a memory of a particular experience, a route he climbed, the people he met or the landscape he saw: ‘A piece that has patches and repairs, it has spirit – there’s a story attached to it.’ He’s teamed up with Patagonia to create this inspiring short film with a refreshing message: by wearing high-quality products that lasts for years and can be repaired you don’t have to buy more of it.
