The sixth generation of Sony’s celebrated Alpha 7R series is seriously impressive. This full-frame mirrorless camera is built around a fully stacked 66.8MP sensor and the new BIONZ XR2 engine for maximum image quality and performance. Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5 GM OSS
Alongside the Alpha 7R VI, Sony has introduced a new super-telephoto zoom. It is around three times faster than the FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS from 2017 and has two key differences: a constant maximum aperture and an internal zoom structure. Weighing approximately 1,840g, it is designed to be light enough for shooting handheld all day. The lens uses a mix of Sony’s advanced optics to reduce aberrations, features an 11-bladed aperture and has a minimum focusing distance of 0.64m at the wide end and 1.5m at the long end.

Samyang AF 14-24mm f/2.8 L
Samyang’s AF 14-24mm f/2.8 is now available for L-mount cameras. This ultra-wide zoom lends itself to a range of shooting scenarios but weighs just 441g and measures 86.8mm. With an advanced optical design of 15 elements in 11 groups, the lens promises to deliver consistent sharpness from the centre to the edges of the frame. It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.18m across the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification of 0.26x. It is weather-sealed, with a Linear STM motor for fast, quiet and accurate autofocus.
